Hot Chilli Red Kidney Beans/ Rajma Pepper

Its cold outside n hungry stomachs are craving for some hot stuff. So i checked my refrigerator for the hot stuff and  came across red kidney beans. I immediately  thought of making Hot Chilli Red Kidney Beans, as i always have this hot  seasoning handy. I jus love the strong smell of hot chili seasoning. With in minutes the aroma of peppers filled my kitchen.. 


This dish has that uniqueness that u can find all flavors in it.  Hot, Spicy, Sweet, Sour, Tangy, Mild, What not ?? you name it , you will find that flavor in this dish. For every bite u will immerse yourself in full of flavors. Its a all time star in my kitchen, You can have it as a snack, side dish, main course,a dip, Whatever it is jus goes perfect with this hot chili red kidney beans mix.

  So here is the recipe for:

Serves: 3-4 people
Cooking time20 mins
Ingredients:
For seasoning:
All-purpose Flour/Wheat flour: 1tbsp 
Instant Minced Onion: 2tbsp             
Dried red pepper: 1tsp, crushed
cayenne pepper: 1tsp
Chili Powder:2tsp            
Instant Minced Garlic:1tsp                  
Seasoned Salt: 1tsp                    
Ground Cumin: 1tsp
Basil: 1tsp. crushed






Sugar: 1/2tsp/ jaggery 1/2tsp
Ground black pepper: 1/2 tsp
For Gravy:
Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped/pureed
Tomato Sauce: 11/2 cup/ 3-4 tomatoes  finely chopped/ 11/2 cups tomato puree
Red Kidney Beans: 2 cups, boiled
Oil: 1tbsp
Preparation:
1) Soak red kidney beans with plenty of water overnight. Pressure cook beans with enough water,( jus to cover them) for 1 whistle. Let it cool.
2) Mix all the seasoning ingredients in a bowl n keep aside.
3) In a pan heat oil  n add onion. Cook for 8 mins or until onions are tender n brown in color. 
4) Add tomato sauce n cook for 5 mins on medium heat covered.
5) Now add Red kidney beans n stir well.
6) Simmer, cover  n cook for 10-12 mins. 


7) Adjust salt n chili powder to your taste n cook for  1min on medium heat, uncovered..
8) Switch off n let it cool for 5mins


Enjoy with Rice, chapathi or even with  taco's..

TIP: U can increase the  amounts for seasoning mix. Prepare large amounts of seasonings powder n store in a air tight container..
Sprinkle on chips or fritters popcorn, it tastes real good.
